This Is Why You See Men Wearing Offensive Irish Tee Shirts On St. Patrick's Day

By Simon Ames

When a woman walks into a bar, or other social medium, with a group of her friends, she only has one thing on her mind: having fun and partaking of a few drinks. When a man walks into a bar, all he has on his narrow mind is diverting as many girls from their original goal as humanly possible. Guys need to distract women. It is not in a woman's basic nature to go out seeking guys. Finding girls and distracting them by being as flashy as possible is exactly why men wear offensive Irish tee shirts on St. Patrick's Day.

Irish drinking tee shirts are a great place to start when analyzing the inner mind of dudes everywhere. Guys will put a funny t-shirt on strictly for the purpose of making a girl stare at him for more than a few seconds. He chooses a shirt that is provocative, offensive, or misogynist because he is trained by his past experiences to know that these get the most attention. Even negative attention from a girl is enough to make a fellow return to that same behavior.

Remember in kindergarten when a little boy would run up to a little girl and pull her braids? She would cry and the little boy would run away laughing. This may seem like a mean thing to do, and the little boy should rightly be punished for his behavior. In reality, the little girl's tears were a way of getting the little girl to notice the existence of the little boy. Even though it is terrible, juvenile behavior, boys are doing the same thing today in the form of offending women with raunchy Irish tshirts.

Irish party t shirts may not be as aggressive as pulling a little girl's braids, but it is a very similar tactic. A woman that is met by chance may forget about a man within just a few seconds if he does not stand out in some way. If he wears an Irish t-shirt on Saint Patrick's Day that blatantly offends the woman, she will remember him for much longer. It is easier to make an apology than to never get the chance to say 'hello'.

Men must bring a women down to their level in order to understand them. If that is done by making them laugh at something silly they've done or by offending them with Irish Saint Patrick's Day t shirts, then most of the hard work is done for a man. Men only need to get the slightest level of attention from a woman in order to distract and engage. Once the woman has been distracted from her predetermined goal of having drinks and spending time with friends, she is suddenly open to forming new goals for the evening. That new goal may just be entertaining the company of a new male in her life. Mission accomplished.
