By Craig Fox

The Canon Powershot A2200 has a 4x broad (equivalent to 28mm) broad zoom, great for household and team photos, or to capture a beautiful beach or tropical sunset. At 14.1 megapixels it provides sharp, crisp, spectacular images and with the flick of a switch, it tape-records HD video.

It has a wonderful feature which I genuinely love. You could switch off the sound, flash and AF Beam in peaceful locations. Great for when you're snapping away at a wedding and don't wish to interrupt anybody.

I mentioned before about taking the Canon Powershot A2200 to the beach. One attribute I can't live without is the macro mode. It permits me to obtain actually close up and get beautiful images of the little details, like seashells, crabs, the intricate charm of the sandy beaches, etc. No need to even browse the viewfinder when getting close up. Simply look at the huge, easy to see LCD display.

It isn't best ...

The Canon Powershot A2200 isn't without faults. I guess for the excellent low price that it's readily available for, it cannot have everything. If you wish to link it to your TV, the cord is sold individually. Not a big deal as it's rather cheap, but you do have to remember to get it. If you want elegant features like shooting panoramas, then this camera is not for you.

All in all, without a doubt it has the very best feature set of all the cameras in this price range. I went shopping around a great deal and am rather particular about images and features in a camera and the Canon Powershot A2200 beat the competition. Low cost, easy to use, fantastic attributes and easy to hold. Battery life is fantastic as it uses a Lithium-Ion battery.
