Halloween crafts and games for kids

One of the most fun things about the Halloween vacation is making things and having parties. Which is the reason why Halloween crafts and games for kids are abound wherever you look. Halloween is not all about kids Winnie The Pooh costumes and candy, let's get creative. There are all sorts of creative craft ideas you need to use to make decorating for Halloween a blast for youngsters and games you can play actually have their roots in old folklore. One of the most played Halloween games is bobbing for apples. This practice goes back for years and is still played at many Halloween parties today. When we played bobbing for apples, you needed an old silver washtub filled about halfway to the top with water. Then the apples were placed in the water and you were to get an apple only using your mouth and no hands. Let me tell you the key to it. Trap the apple on the base of the tub and bite! It'll only take 1 or 2 seconds and there's little chance of drowning!

Halloween crafts and games for kids are simple to think up if you have an idea where to look. If you're having a Halloween party for a lot of children, you might like to consider letting them make their own treats! Eatable dust and worms is almost always a huge hit! Take a clear plastic cup and place a scoop of chocolate ice cream in the bottom. Give each kid a Zip-Loc baggie which has some Oreo cookies in it and instruct them to crush the cookies into pieces. Decant the cookies on top of the ice cream and add some gummy worms. Give them a spoon and order them to dig in!

Another great Halloween craft for children to do is to make frightening pumpkin window decorations. Take a chunk of orange construction paper and have the youngsters draw a frightful pumpkin face on it. Then have them cut out the face. Leave the paper in a square because you can make many of those to tape to the windows in your home. Then illuminate them from behind with a lamp, and you have frightening windows!
