Pirate Birthday Supplies - How To Plan For Your Next Pirate Birthday Party

By Walt Hoover

Some of the questions that might pop into your head when thinking about doing a "pirate" party for your child, is "What was I thinking? Where am I going to find all this stuff? What do I need?" Although you might have an idea of what to get, you might not know what is out there to help your party be something better than what you were originally thinking. There are the original supplies such as streamers and balloons, cake setters and party plates, napkins, tablecloth and cups. But there are a whole lot more that can be added to the party. Here are a few ideas that you might want to grasp while you can:

Costume Wear: For little kids dressing up is one of the funnest things and it doesn't take much to get their imaginations going. All you need is an eye patch, a bandanna, and a sword. You can easily find these things at a party store. Costume will also go really well with your decorations. The kids will really feel like they are out at sea searching for buried treasure.

Pirate Party Favors: One of the things I remember when I was little was getting the party favors after the party. It is a simple way to tell your guests thank you for attending the party. You can find affordable little toys and candy at a party store.

Pirate Pinatas: A great activity is having a pinata that the kids can hit with their play swords. They can act like they are pirates searching for buried treasure. You can find plastic and chocolate coins at many party stores.

Treasure Chest and Treasure: Another decoration would be to have a treasure chest. You could play a game of treasure hunt and have the treasure chest the prize. Fill it with the party favors for each kid that you have prepared for the "treasure". They will love the game as well as the end result. It also participates completely in the theme you have decided upon.

Pirate Flag: A pirate flag is also a must have for any pirate party. You can simply hang it from a wall or use it as a tablecloth. A pirate flag will also add a lot to your party decorations.
