Sex molesting is a complex and emotional social issue that is affecting may people in the diaspora more so the victims. Strict laws require to be put in place to curb the act since of late the sexual abuse survivor stories are in an upward trend. These offenses build sensitive issue to survivors as they find it difficult to disclose the violence they have encountered.

People should be encouraged to engage themselves in activities which help to curb these acts. These activities include doing some research about the act and the repercussions that arise as a result. Data can also be documented and published to inform citizens about the act. These greatly helps victims to address the issue and also assists to curb the act.

Survivors should report the wrongdoing to governing authorities as soon as possible for the issue to be addressed in time. The act greatly affects the survivors social life since they carry the stigma for a long period of time. Survivors at times face harassment in their local areas after reporting the violence.

This happens with local people who knew the offender and feel that the accusation was planned. Such situations make survivors feel ashamed or harassed and should not be entertained as it has some negative impacts. Impacts associated with the violence include fear, confusion, shock and depression more so when the offender continue to live in the area.

They can even turn to drugs especially when counseling is avoided. Recording such incidents is essential as these records are used as evidence against the offender. Some victims are reported to have faced some sorts of harassment within their local areas when they report such acts.

Victims should be encouraged to narrate their sexual abuse survivor stories without fear. Through communication they will get help and justice. These are some of the impacts that accompany this kind of harassment.
