If you have a camera, video camera or a cell phone, they all have Secure Digital cards that hold a variety of things such as videos, music, photos and other files that are of importance to you. These cards come in sizes 1 gigabyte up to 2 terabytes. These files more than likely will need to be transferred from your SD card to DVD because even though the cards are convenient often you want them on something more permanent.
You can transfer this information from your SD to DVD quite easily, even if this is your very first time doing this. It really is not all that difficult of a task to do. Just follow the easy instructions provided.
If you have never done this before or simply are not all that tech savvy, you might feel a little intimidated with the idea of transferring the information, because you might be a bit scared that you might do something wrong and erase all the information and then everything will be gone. You do not need to think this way. The process of transferring your information is a relatively simple and easy process and anyone can do it without a problem.
First take a blank DVD and put it in your DVD drive. Then take the SD memory card out of your device and put it in the computer memory storage reader. Most of the current computers will have readers built in. If not, you will need an external memory reader to transfer your information. Whichever you have, take your memory card and put it in the reader,
After you have finished doing this you will want to go to your computer and click on the Start button that is found at the left corner on the bottom of your computer screen and then click on the word Computer from your computers start up menu.
Next you will need to click twice on the icon for memory cards and this can be found in what is called Devices With Removable Storage. This then will allow you to be able to see the different files that are being stored on any and all memory cards.
After that, look at all the files and decide which ones to transfer. Hold down your Control key and take your mouse and click all the files that you are going to transfer. After you have highlighted them all then use your mouse to right click on any file that is highlighted and then a menu will come up and just click on the word Copy from the list.
Once you are done here, click on the Back button so you can get back to your Computer menu. Once back there just right click on the DVD icon for the DVD drive and then simply click on Paste from the pop up menu. Your computer then will do all the work by transferring all the files that you highlighted earlier. Burn the information from the SD card to DVD and you are done.
