50 Shades Of Grey Book Summary

The book 50 Shades of Grey is a top rated seller that portrays a young attractive 22 year old student named Ana. The story revolves around how she winds up falling madly in love with a young entrepreneur named Christian Grey. The plot all starts when Ana's best friend and roommate Katherine asks her if she could possibly take her place on a very important job interview, due to her being sick. Ana agrees and heads to the interview. The moment Ana arrives at the interview, she is immediately blown away by Christian Grey's captivating good looks. Even though at first Ana was quite attracted to Christan, she was also very intimidated by him. It's because of this reason that she starts to stumble throughout the full job interview.

As soon as she leaves, she instantly starts to assume that the entire interview when terribly wrong. In order to cheer herself up, she begins to think to herself that she'll more than likely never run into this young attractive man again. Well it just so happens that she later runs into Grey at her hardware store job. As soon as Christian goes to buy something, she tells him that her friend Katherine wants some photos to go with the article she was planning on writing. Christian then gives Ana his telephone number.

When Ana arrives home, Katherine quickly convinces her to call and arrange a photo shoot with Christian and her photographer Jose. The next day, Katherine, Jose, and Ana arrive at Christian's hotel to start the photo shoot. Christian then asks Ana if she would like to have coffee with him. Once the two begin talking over coffee, he asks Ana if she is involved with anybody. She casually informs Christian that she is currently not seeing anyone. As the conversation goes on, Ana discovers that Christian is single as well. She also thinks that he is not what you would call an angel. Ana is actually quite intrigued by this and becomes even more interested in him after he saves her from getting hit by an oncoming cyclist. Despite the fact that Ana is starting to become very interested in Christian, she believes that she is not good enough for him. One night, Ana goes out for drinks with her friends and ends up getting really drunk.

During a drunken fit of madness, she winds up giving Christian a call. He then tells her that he would stop by and pick her up. She then heads outside to wait. While Ana is outside, she ends up running into the photo expert Jose who then tries to kiss her. Christian quickly pulls the plug on his plans by showing up. Grey then ends up bringing her back to his hotel. The following morning when Ana awakes, Christians reveals to her that he would like to have sex with her. He then spices things up by asking Ana to agree to a contract. He shortly changes his mind after making out with Ana in an elevator. At some point, Ana an Christian end up going on a date. Grey then takes Ana back to his apartment in his chopper. When they arrive, Grey asks her once more if she wouldn't mind signing the agreement, which prohibited her from discussing any sexual acts they performed on each other. Ana then accepts the provisions of the contract. Christian then tells Ana that there is another agreement that will consist of submission and dominance with absolutely no romance involved. He really wants their relationship to be 100% sexual. The agreement even forbids her from making direct eye contact with Grey. He then finds out that Ana is a virgin and decides to put the contract on hold, so he could be her first. The two then end up having sexual relations. As time passes, Ana starts to receive various gifts from Grey. One of them just so happened to be a laptop computer. This way, he and Ana were able to stay in touch via email. Ana then becomes skeptical about the whole ordeal and tells Grey that she refused to honor certain parts of the contract. She then starts to wonder what the results might be from being in a relationship that's solely based on sex with no romantic moments.

Ana later joins up with Grey to further discuss her concerns. Feeling totally overwhelmed by the entire situation, Anastasia makes the decision to no longer see Grey. The 2 of them meet up again down the road when Christian is invited to be a guest speaker at her graduation. She then makes the decision to start dating Grey again and go more into details as to to the logistics of the contract. During this time period, Anastasia experiences what it's like to be spanked for the first time. The whole ordeal leaves her rather puzzled as to how she should react. On one hand she actually seemed to enjoy it, but on the other she was rather confused. Meanwhile Christian attempts to keep her happy by buying her expensive gifts, and taking her to meet his family. In spite of all this, she still has doubts as to the provisions of the contract and the whole relationship. Anastasia later lands a job with a Seattle publishing company. The relationship between Christian and Ana becomes even more complicated when she chooses to see how far the extremities of the relationship will go. She asks Grey to punish her by putting a beating on her using a belt. Afterwards, Anastasia decides she does not want to be involved with Christian anymore. Feeling awfully heartbroken by the entire ordeal, she makes the choice to move back in with her roommate Katherine.
