How To Write A Kids Book About Actors

By Sally Delacruz

Children always want to have people they look up to as they grow. Most of them look at actors and other stars as their idols and role models. This is why it may be necessary to write a kids book about actors. However, such a book should not just be written for the sake of writing. Great caution should be taken to prevent kids from developing bad attitudes or extremely admiring attitudes towards acting as a profession.

It must never be assumed by writers that because its kids book, it should not be written with care. As compared to writing for adults, kids book should always be handled with extra caution than all actors featured in these articles should not be made to appear like gods . Actors should always be real.

Some of the varied things that should be placed for considerations include; content type, levels of language, the number of pages and realism . These issues ought to be carefully observed to discourage wrong things from getting to the kids.

When writing on actors for children, the writer should ensure that the content exposed to the children is not beyond them; it should be moral and fit for children. They should not be exposed to personal lives of actors who are immoral and fond of engaging in dirty activities. The books should also not talk about scenes in there movies that are equally improper. The reason is; these superstars are much adored by children, and writing about the dirty things they do can drive the kids into doing those things.

The writer also needs to check his/her language. He/she should avoid use of vulgar words and pictures. Such language usually has a great negative impact on the development of minors. They are also likely to negatively affect the minds of children. They may grow thinking that it is normal to use vulgar language.

Children books on actors are written with the sole purpose of mentoring young minds. There reading capabilities are most not well developed. It is, therefore, necessary to have fewer pages to avoid discouraging the kids from reading. The amount of content should also be just enough to be read in one sitting.

Even with all the other factors described above, the characters described in the books should not be made to look as if they are not human. They should be made to appear like normal human beings who have blood and flesh. If they are made to look unrealistic, children may think it is impossible to become an actor. They should, if possible, be developed from when they had nothing up to when they became superstars. This will challenge the kids to work hard.

The discussion above makes it clearly known that a lot of care must be exercised in writing books for children, especially actors. If care is not taken, the intended objectives may not be achieve, but the reverse of this.
