Seattle Arts Destinations

Visitors to Seattle can explore one of the plentiful arts centers in Seattle. There are a great many chances for visitors to study the uniqueness and style of the fine arts in Seattle during vacationers stay. Many of the locations feature lovely paintings, scultpures and captivating displays of performance art.

Seattle Art Museum

Art from locations including Africa, Europe and Asia are displayed throughout this Seattle arts complex. The museum also includes many Native American works of art. Patrons can use computer screens, audio tours and wall texts to further learn about the art pieces in the museum. The museum offers free entry to all visitors each first Thursday of the month. This renowned museum can be found near Seattle's beautiful waterfront.

Marion Oliver McCaw Hall

This performance venue serves as the home of the Seattle Opera and also showcases many different types of live art. Visitors can attend one of the shows in this hall to see a performance of stunning classical music or delightful ballet. In December, with assistance from many first-class dancers, the hall puts on a few performances of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite. The venue even hosts performances of some of the top pop music acts. The hall is located inside of the Seattle Center, which is also the site of the internationally renowned Space Needle.

Seattle Asian Art Museum

Visitors who want to see some of the most precious collectibles from The Far East can visit this Seattle arts center. Many ancient statues and artifacts can be discovered at the museum. There are many exhibits paying homage to the ancient religions of Pacific Rim. Like the Seattle Art Museum, visitors to this institution can gain access for free each first Thursday of the month. The museum sits on historic Capitol Hill on the serene grounds of Volunteer Park.

Broadway Performance Hall

This smaller location seats just under 300 spectators, making allowances for a intimate experience with the performing arts. Visitors can come to this location to see intricate performances from flamenco acts, comedic personalities and live melodramatic performers. The hall also has art films and spoken word performances. The location is found along Broadway Avenue on Capitol Hill, a popular area for the hipster crowd.

Photographic Center Northwest

This locale of fine arts in Seattle showcases many pieces of modern and history filled photography works. Guests can see the exhibitions of countrywide and global photographers. Visitors can even partake of one of the conventions or courses offered to find out more about the subtleties of artistic photography. This museum is situated in Seattle's First Hill neighborhood.
