When you consider becoming a bartender your bound to ask- How much do bartenders make? Unfortunately this question is not easily answered. A Bartender's income varies a lot for a few reasons.

A bartender makes money from both a salary and earning tips. Most of your money will come in the form of tips, even though you earn an hourly wage. The best way to turn bartending into a lucrative career is to get jobs in great locations.

Bartender Salary

A bartender's hourly wage usually ranges from $8 to $10.

Despite this hourly wage, to sufficiently answer the question- how much do bartenders make? We need to take into consideration tips.

Bartender Tips

Most of the time you won't be concerned with how much you make with your hourly wage. Most of your money will come from people tipping you. How much does a bartender make from tips? This really depends on where they are tending bar.

It's very possible for a bartender to earn up to $200 to $400 dollars a shift. And it doesn't stop there. They can even earn up to $600 dollars a night. This all depends on the venue in which they are tending bar.

That is not a bad amount of cash for one nights work. Simply put, a bartender's salary varies depending on a number of factors. How skilled they are as a bartender, the amount of customer service they provide, how likable they are, and of course where they are bartending.

So...How much do bartenders make? yearly?

Other factors are how experienced they are at bartending, and the quality of service they give.

It's important to remember a bartender's salary can change greatly depending on where they are working. If your tending bar in a five-star restaurant, or a very popular night club, or fancy resort, your income will increase substantially.

If you're working in a five-star restaurant, a super popular club, a fancy expensive resort, or special jobs like a wedding, you'll be making a lot more money.

So how much does a bartender make? Unfortunately that answer isn't as clear as we all would like. If for example you consistently bring in close to $200 dollars a shift your annual income would be close to $50,000. To put it simply anywhere from $20,000 to the sky's the limit.
