Virginia offers quite the variety of festivals for every taste and even budget. Definitely there are festivals for shoppers, for nature lovers and even ones for foodies. It just basically boils down to researching properly online to find one that suits your tastes and pleasures.

A notable festival to consider will be the springtime celebration called the Daffodil Festive. It is held towards the last days of the month of May. It is held annually at Gloucester County and involves quite a varied number of activities. Attendees can partake in parades, dog shows, a 5k run and more. Sales of flowers, daffodils included of course, and bulbs are also held and is one of the highlights. Families and friends can also enjoy good barbecue and seafood while listening to live music at the open food court.

If shopping is more your thing, then you can also enjoy Frostfest which is held every February in Richmond. It is claimed to be the largest indoor flea market and so expect a lot of sellers. Plenty of visitors do attend to avail of the many good discounts available on electronic items, and other things that will meet your fancy.

You can also satisfy your sweet tooth by attending an event in Fairfax called the Chocolate Lovers Festival. This event is schedule sometime in the first half of the year and features cooking competitions, bakes sales, product tasting and a lot more, Definitely a must for the chocolate connoisseur.

Seafood lovers will enjoy a one day festival called the Chincoteague Oyster Festival held in Chincoteague every October. Sponsored by the Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce to promote local industry and commerce, it is a family friendly affair. It features an all you can eat buffet consisting of a variety of seafood, including oysters. Hot dogs and clam chowder are also on the menu. Local handicrafts industries also showcase their wares and there are vendor booth competitions and the like to enjoy also. Live music is also made part of the festivities to make it fun for all.

If you want to finish off your Christmas gift list at one go, then visit the Bizarre Bazaar Christmas Show in Richmond in December. This festival features 500 local vendors and entrepreneurs all selling Christmas themed goods and the like. They also have special activities during this event but you may have to buy advance tickets.
