An Overview Of Embroidery Lake Elsinore

By Karen Moore

Decorative needlework has been used for different purposes for eons. It is timeless. The only that has changed about the art is the shift from hand stitching to machines. Hand stitching carries with it a measure of pride and prestige. It is almost as if one can see the sweat and pain in every stitch and strand of string. This will remain to be true even when hand stitching fades into oblivion. This is not to say that machine stitching is inferior. However, one thing stays constant. Embroidery Lake Elsinore is still very popular.

There are two methods of machine decorative stitching. The first is manual. One uses a regular sewing machine then traces on a pre-sketched design by guiding the fabric. This is still painful and takes a lot of time but is far better than doing it entirely by hand. The second method uses specialized machines.

The machines are better at this. One would argue that maintaining the tradition is better but the quintessence of the art remains intact. It is still stitching only better with a less chance of mistakes. Mistakes cost money and so use of machines is more cost-effective. The result is simply perfect. A design is punched into the machine. The machine then follows directions and the design to the digit.

Before buying a machine for this purpose, one must know what they need the machine to do. Every machine has its strength. For example, will there be the need for a cap holder or a cap attachment? A cap holder means that one will be decorating many caps and will thus need a permanent fixture. If caps will not be a regular activity then going for the attachment is better. Such that one can dislodge the cap part when done until the next cap activity.

Before buying any machine really, one should think about where to keep it. To determine this, they have to know the options available. There is a relatively small tabletop machine for home use. Then there is a bigger stand-alone one for commercial use. Past that, there is a much bigger machine for the heavy duty stuff. One with an expansive sewing field. Sewing field is the area of operation. One should ensure the machine has a sufficient field.

To enable the machine to translate design fed into it, there is the need for software. The software comes in different levels. It is prudent to start from the basic level. Ensure to master all the basic lettering and combination of designs before upgrading. Most companies charge less for the purchase of the second level software.

Decorative stitching is a timeless art. It does not fade back into history. It started as a simple activity. Later, the complexity was used to define power and social placement. Through it all, it has remained an art. Art communities recognize it as a big part of art history. Thus, prominent placing at museums.

It is also used by companies for advertisement. Unlike in printing, the designs remain sharp and distinct. Not to mention, very professional and elegant. They do not fade or wash out. This is why certain companies consider embroidery for stitching their marketing messages on garments.
