Pagan Fiction Writings And Movies

By Jody Leach

Paganism can be defined in so many ways depending on the point of view. According to Christians, a pagan is anyone that is not a believer. Any individual that does not believe in Jesus Christ as the Messiah, holy trinity and God the almighty is a pagan. However a more open minded view defines paganism as any religion that does not have origins from Abraham. This brings us to pagan fiction literature and movies.

A pagan is a person that belongs to this classical religion. These people form a favorable fraction of the population today. Their community has its cultures and traditions derived from the indigenous and polytheistic ways that existed earlier on. The pagan community basically exists in silence, not much about them is put out. They basically believe in nature and worship various aspects of it. The religions that cannot be classified as pagans include strictly Christianity, Islamism and the Judaism.

In modern days another group of pagans has emerged, these are called the neo-pagans. They share the same beliefs as the other pagans but their ways are different in all aspects. These mixed the old ways with a few of their own and came up with a community. Members of this society are highly educated and well informed in natural ways. They believe nature is the source of all power and if man can harness that they can be super.

The earliest pagans were referred to as the Hellenes. This term was bestowed onto them by the Christian Jews of the time. The term was used in reference to the Hebrews who were not believers of the Christian faith. With time this name ceased to be used as a cultural one but become the name of the faithless. This marked the beginning of paganism classification of people.

The fictional writings of these pagans have a lot to do with the pagans and their ways. This is their way of putting their cultures, norms, traditions and others into writing. This form of writing is basically based on imagination and ability for creativity. It is not informative like other religious writings known to man. It is usually fantasy writing from the mind of an imaginative person aimed at thrilling the readers.

These books are full of adventures and heroism achieved through use of magical abilities. Humans and animals here are seen to have more than the mere humanly feature. They are also shown to have super abilities and senses. These writings are not based on facts but rather a vivid explanation of imaginations of a person.

Due to the highly vivid nature of these stories and writings, movies were produced too. Here the imaginative power of these people was capitalized upon to create very entertaining movies that capture every ones interest. The movies produced here are merely fantasy based and fictional. Applicability has not been proven yet.

In conclusion, this form of literature and movies are the most widely read and watched respectively today. This is not only the pagans themselves but all other religious affiliations too. Much as it is fiction, when brought to life in books and movies, it can be highly captivating to the mind. Both adults and children enjoy them alike.
