Old Mystery TV Shows Are Great

By Karina Frost

"Simon and Simon, " "Murder She Wrote, " "Remington Steele, " "The Hardy Boys, " "Nancy Drew, " "McMillan & Wife, " "Columbo" and "Mrs. Columbo" are great programs to view. They are also old mystery tv shows that American people love to watch. These series were first introduced during the 1970's and early 80's and they appeal to a large population.

Women who like to look at young men with blond hair should really check out "Simon and Simon." They will get the chance to see a brilliant handsome detective who really knows how to solve any crime. He is guided by his average looking brother who seems to be quite jealous of his sibling. The two men rely on their mother to iron their clothes and cook the meals while they are solving cases.

Agatha Christie is responsible for the creation of an older woman who appears on "Murder She Wrote." This is the American version of Ms. Marple who British people have loved and admired for years. The old lady on this series is very wise and no murderer can escape her clutches.

"Remington Steele" had deep blue eyes which people loved to stare into. He was always so suave and sophisticated throughout the entire series even though his title was unreal. The woman who ran this detective agency had merely created Remington when her business was not doing so great financially. Customers eventually came to her agency because of the elegant Mr. Steele. The series had a good run on television and is now seen in syndication.

Everyone around knows that "The Hardy Boys" brought any party to life since they were so musically talented. Joe Hardy would sing while his brother Frank took the time to romance all of the hot young girls that were around. After this was over the two of them would try to solve various mysteries that went on around their hometown. Love and romance was always in the air whenever these two dashing young men appeared.

"Nancy Drew" took her crime solving skills more seriously than the boys. She was a solo act even though she occasionally teamed up with Frank and Joe. Nancy even let Frank Hardy romance her from time to time. Her best girlfriend would always come to her aide whenever any of the mysteries got out of hand.

"Columbo" is one great detective that people everywhere admired. He loved to play games with the killers who were introduced on his program each week. Mr. Columbo would wait for the right moment in order to let these people fall into a wicked trap. Throughout this program he liked to eat and drink with his suspect before making them admit to their crimes.

"Mrs. Columbo" was very young and beautiful but she did not have the same appeal as her television husband. Even though she was related to the great Columbo viewers were not interested in her crime solving abilities and they quickly turned her program off after one season.
