Lydia Sloley: A Model For The Supernatural Woman

By Danielle Galloway

Rev. Lydia Sloley does not just talk about empowerment; she embodies it. A woman battered by her Vietnam veteran husband, Lydia broke free from frightening and hopeless days through accepting Jesus Christ into her life in 1982. She received the gift of poetic-prophetic perspective and went on to be named a Prophet in 1997, and an Apostle in 2011. She has dedicated her life to empowering people through living Christ inspired lives.

A graduate from the National Broadcasting School, Lydia formed the radio show Life in Its Poetic Form and later hosted a t. V. Talk show with the same name. Her show inspires people to put Christian values into daily practice to live more well rounded lives. She is also the lead pastor in Brooklyn, NY in a ministry aptly named Life in Its Poetic Form.

Lydia authored five books of poetry that expressed her Christian journey as she grew through her poetic-prophetic perspective. She covered themes of inspiration, relationships, challenges, self-discovery, and managing emotions in her poetry books. She also invited other creatives to express themselves through poetry in her Poetry Empowerment workshops.

The Fountain of Youth Called Truth was her first inspirational novel written in 2006. The book emphasizes creating a great inner truth will produce an outer beauty. Lydia educates her readers by teaching them that following the Lord will turn into inner peace. In turn, that will greatly diminish stress and strengthen the body.

In her upcoming book, Supernatural Woman, Rev. Sloley speaks to women about life empowerment through developing and maintaining a Christ-mind. She encourages women to live in the moment and refuse to keep repeating the life stories of the past. Living as supernatural women leads to finding peace, quieting the mind, and creating a life of purpose.

Not only is Sloley a poet and author but she took her talents and message a step further by creating a song called Supernatural Woman. The song is sung by a fantastic vocalist by the name of Esprit Parker. The lyrics are about a woman who transforms and uplifts her life through Divine love after being burdened by her life. The song breathes home the principles that no challenge is to great to overcome following Christian principles, faith, and love.

Lydia also has a website, Supernatural Lifestyles that focuses on empowering and inspiring women by using Christian principles in their every day lives. On her website she has downloadable talks on topics important to women who are spiritual. She also has her books, the song Supernatural Woman, and a Supernatural Woman shirt available on her website. Although women our her main audience she has plans to expand her website material to include everyone.

Rev Lydia Sloley gives Life Empowerment workshops at woman shelters, schools, correctional facilities, and corporations all over. She travels all over preaching and is available to speak if given and invitation. Her sermons are inspiring and enlightening, making her an excellent guest preacher. If you would like to book her, you can contact her through her website Supernatural Lifestyles.
