Styles Clothing Boutiques In Tampa Are Offering This Year

By Alba Durham

The 2012 collections of the best designers in the world offered some of the most spectacular looks to be seen in the last decade. The shows of September 2012 closed the year with a bang, affecting what people would be wearing in the following 12 months. Clothing boutiques in Tampa quickly stocked up with the colorful, vibrant styles that were seen on the catwalks.

Peter Doherty's independent rock star look, with its shredded fabrics, washed skinny jeans and silver on black palettes has gone mainstream. Contemporary fashionistas will be wearing washed black fabrics, slim silhouettes, hats and chains. Rugged styles such as this one will be influencing the way both females and males will be dressing, although the look is more dominant in men's wear.

Op and pop art have been brought back to life by fashions that allow trendy consumers to demonstrate their philosophies through their outfits. Pop art needs to be carried off with humor, so custom T shirts will be decorated by funny and ironic phrases. Fuzzy optics will be used to add a sense of fun to formal frocks.

During 2012, platforms reached new heights of absurdity and eclecticism. For 2013, the look has been toned down into something more elegant and subtle. Soles are slimmer, and graceful color blocks create the only points of interest. At the same time, stilettos are back in style. All women's shoes are easier to wear this year, offering a little more classic appeal.

Men's shoes have undergone an exciting new change. Before the new year dawned, only females were allowed to wear soles in contrasting colors to their uppers. This year, men wearing formal clothing are donning indigo soles that show a flash of color that does not appear in any other garments. Charcoal on charcoal outfits create a bleak textural effect that is enhanced by bright soles and shoe accents. Red flashes of color are being seen on casual sneakers, and siren red socks create a pop of color that is shown off using short or rolled up trouser hems.

The focus on texture is difficult to ignore this year. Black on black or white on white outfits create interest through a play on opacity. Lace and chiffon panels are used to show off sections of skin, and are stitched into opaque fabrics. The overall look is elegant and sleek. The silhouettes that come with this textural interest are minimalist, and prints are omitted entirely.

Wearing denim tops and jeans is a look that is difficult to pull off successfully but it is on trend this year. To make the look slightly easier to achieve, chambray tops can replace denim shirts. Those who are less courageous are wearing blue shirts with prison strips with their jeans. The disco era's best denim textures and washes have been resurrected.

The Fifties Hollywood heroine is back, bringing a romantic flavor to female wardrobes. Whilst few Fifties starlets would wear hems above the knee, today's fashionistas are showing off their legs using high slits and short hems with layered lengths of fabric. Clothing boutiques in Tampa are stocked with all the fashions stylish consumers need to update their wardrobes.
