Affordable Handmade Ties Look As Good As Designer Brands

By Marie Peterson

When it comes to wearing a suit, it can be an extension of the wearer. Some like to keep it simple with dark colors and classic cuts. Others may go for a little flash with sharkskin or trendy cut and even those who think outside of the box with bright or vibrant colors not typically used for a suit. Whatever the choice, what matters most is the fit and the quality. Also, a nice suit also benefits from wearing affordable handmade ties that are made from silk or blended materials.

Those who buy designer suits without a good tailor may find their money wasted. There are some body types or scenarios that may only call for a tie and slacks. For instance, those who are muscular or stout may want to steer clear of skinny cut bottoms and jackets. Bottoms should fit well in the hips and waistline without being too tight.

Investing in premium wool or sharkskin slacks may be a bit too dressy for some office jobs. In some cases, a clean buttoned shirt with long sleeves and khaki slacks with a nice crease works well for most body types. A tie in a complementary pattern can raise the style profile without a lot of effort or expense.

With a nice tie, a person can wear something other than a plain white shirt to work. Blues are the perfect companion to yellows, pinks, and earth tones. For those who want a little bit of color, hunter or olive green is very versatile with neutral colors. Anyone who is seeking ideas should look at the colors in a favorite tie and find matching colors.

Ties with basic colors like blue or black can be matched with shades of yellow, different hues of red or pink, as well as earth tones. Unless a person works in the fashion industry, wearing shirts in bold colors should have some balance, like a solid color tie or vest. Sometimes a monochromatic look is nice, especially with dark colored sharkskin slacks.

Since there are limited funds to hire a stylist or personal shopper, this is an alternative that can be done for free. Color coordination basics can be found online and choices can be made. Once a man learns how to match colors, they can buy several ties and vests to create different looks for less.

Although it may not be plausible to hire a stylist, finding a good tailor to create at least one custom made shirt is ideal for anyone who plans to move up in their career. Even though some companies are loosening their dress code for employees, it always helps to have a nice shirt and tie combination for special events. Sometimes a good appearance alone can open a door to opportunities.

This is to say that dressing up for the job does not have to costly or require spending a lot of time at the mall. The key is to invest in pieces that are made with durable fabric and can be matched with other colors for a little visual appeal. Anyone who can tie a tie within a few minutes can create a nice but practical look quickly.
