Things To Avoid When Taking Senior Photos

By Estelle Larsen

When you become a senior, you can expect a lot of changes in you. You start to determine what you want to do. You will also discover some things about yourself that you did not know you have. And sooner or later, you become sure of yourself and the things that you are doing. These memories are the ones that you would really remember and these are also what is captured in a senior photo.

Most people think that senior photos are those that are seen in the yearbook after graduation. But Albuquerque senior photos and photographs from other places are far different from those that are seen in the yearbook. Photos from the yearbook are too stiff and too formal. Senior photos are fun photos that show who you really are as a person.

At the time of pictorials there are some photos that look like total disasters. And there are some that are as divine as the cover of the magazine. Do not get confused or nervous when this day comes because it is a moment when you can shine. To make sure that you will be on your most beautiful or handsome during this time, avoid the most common mistakes that teens do when taking their pictures.

When you wear the right clothes, you feel confident. But when you wear the wrong ones, there can be really negative outcomes. There are times that you would look old, then there are also times that you would look fuller. To avoid these choose your outfit wisely. But do not be over the top because your will be overshadowed by what you are wearing.

There are others who want to have a new do when they face the camera. This is a good step to achieving a good appearance but do not do it a day before your actual pictorials. The best time for you to have a haircut is a week before you will face the lenses of the cameras.

Forcing a smile would make the picture look fake and unnatural. These pictures are a representation of who you are and if you are not comfortable in smiling, do not try to force it. Because the results will surely be awkward.

Choosing who will take your photos will also determine if the picture would be good or not. Always go for professionals and those who are well versed on this kind of pictorial. You should also go for someone who can give you good advice since this is your first and last senior pictorial.

Being shy is part of who you are as a human being. But when you have a shyness attack during the picture taking session, all your chances of having a good photo will disappear. For at least once in your life, try not to think about other people and focus on the fact that this your moment.

Senior photos are a long standing tradition in America, specifically Albuquerque, NM. And the best advice that they could give is to be yourself. Do not be afraid to pose as you please. Show who your really are through your photographs. When you see yourself looking back to that time you would surely be proud because of these photos.
