In the world of modern art, one name really stands out as this man serves as an inspiration not only to aspiring artists but to anyone going through hurdles in life. This man is Alexander Koleszar and is known to be one of the best modern painters in the country. Although many people see him as a very successful artist, many do not know the hardships he had to endure before getting there.
Mister Koleszar lead quite a tough life as he was a gay man who grew up in a society where men are all supposed to be tough and homosexuality is frowned upon. He grew up in the city of Michigan wherein all of his peers were all tough men who embraced masculinity into their lives. This became quite a problem for him as he was an introvert.
Things were very hard for him while growing up because while other boys were playing rough games and doing other boy things, Koleszar kept to himself and to his thoughts. As early as his pre teens, he had already felt some strange feelings that he knew were different from his peers. Of course he kept this as a secret because he feared not being accepted.
One of the things that made his life a little bit happier was his love for painting. At an early age, he was already a very skilled painter who even had his works showcased in the city hall. Now the only thing about being a painter at his age was that many of his male peers insulted him for it as they referred to art as a very sissy past time that men do not do.
Now because of his inclination to art, his male classmates would always tease him and make fun of him calling him names like faggot. Of course deep inside he knew he was gay but he still tried to hide it inside. After years of hiding, one day he could not take it anymore so he had to tell the people that were close to him namely his family members like his mother, father, brothers, and sisters.
When his parents found out, they immediately sent him for counselling from doctors or psychologists as they speculated that he had a mental problem. Another thing that they did was to see an endocrinologist to see if the problem lied within his hormones. In all desperation, they even went to see a priest to seek guidance.
Eventually when nothing could be done, his mother told him to change his name and then sent him away from home. From there, he found himself somewhere in Phoenix, Arizona where he would find a good art college wherein he could continue his education. It was also here that he was able to think properly.
Upon moving there, he studied in Arizona State University and quickly became an honor student. It was also here that he met a young man that would eventually become his lover. While in this stage, he continued to pursue his art career and made some of the most stunning art sets that anyone has ever seen.
