The Tales Behind The Alaskan History

By Casandra Newton

The name Alaska was derived from a scientific word meaning a basic land. In years 14, 000BC the Alaskan history was coming to existence. This was the periodic time that Asiatic group was crossing to the Western Alaska where the Alaskans lived. The Alaskans were divided in to groups; they were not as one tribe.

The gold mining process in Alaska brought many people together so as to settle and mine in Alaska. This was in the 1890s. Gold therefore changed the Alaska in 1912. This discovery came with a good number of benefits to the people of Alaska.

The Alaskan islands would be a source of conflict between the Japanese and the U. S because it was a source of national pride. The number of people increased in Alaska as military bases were developed in the area. Introduction of trading activities also brought numerous people. Alaska, having been known worldwide, established the title of statehood on third of January 1959.

In the year 1964, Alaska wrote history when a serious disruption of the normal functioning of activities occurred. The earthquake caused widespread of injuries, displacement of people and lots of damage to animals and property. The inhabitants faced a lot of problems and challenges.

Alaskans discovered crude oil in the year 1968. A pipeline was constructed in 1977 which helped oil reach different parts of the country. This was not long before an accident occurred and caused the pipeline to burst out causing oil spillage of about 35million U. S gallons in 1989.

The people that now live in Canada were then the first ones to move from the coast of Asia through the Western Alaska. Some of their practices differed largely like the subsistence and cultural practices. The people living in Alaska and parts of the Alaskan island worked together in exchange of goods to promote the economic growth of the country.

The rapid growth of Alaska also determined the rate at which people flocked in there. The situation further forced insecurity in the area. The residents in Alaska differ with one another over the upcoming resources like gold mining. There were hostile groups attacking people in the area. For the sake of safety, people had to escape from that area to other places. This caused commotion as families remained displaced not knowing where their family members had fled to. At this particular time, Alaskans also experienced the torture and up to eighty percent of the individuals were left homeless. The outbreak of a disease further led to immunity loss for two generations to come. The Russians owned almost every part of Alaska that was fruitful after the deaths that took place in Alaska.

By the time the killings were taking place, the Russians had already occupied habitats that owned precious things so that they benefit more. After the Russians saw that their valuables had depreciated, they moved to the Northern part of the region. The migration was slow because they were no sufficient ships to transport them and also sailors. Fishing, copper mining, canning and tourism became popular in Alaska where up to date over 1.4 million people visit Alaska to see other interesting scenarios.Alaska was also well by the mention of a courageous man called Smith. He committed crimes all over because of gold. Smith became common until he was traced by the villagers and shoot to death. The realization of gold and other things made Alaska to expand and the neighboring towns to. Infrastructure was sufficient too. This is the Alaskan history.
