Container Garden Ideas That Provoke Inspiration

By Shirley Edwards

There are various ways in decorating and designing the garden. Some people use container garden ideas to come up with a creative design. This is usually inexpensive and it is practical. You will find that there are many plants that don't need to be watered quite so often. This will be great for areas where there are water restrictions set in place.

It doesn't mean that you simply have to buy a couple of pots from a gardening shop and randomly place these around the garden. Of course, you have to look at the design and the layout as well. This can either look hugely appealing or it can be a disaster. It depends on how you arrange it. There are a couple of factors to take into consideration.

It doesn't have to set you back a great deal. You can even use recycled tins and bottles. People do amazing things by painting old jars. This goes nicely with specific themes. If you are good at arts and crafts, you will find that you don't have to spend a lot of money on big pots. It can especially suit the more rustic theme. People will plant herbs in old tea cups or console jars. This will make a kitchen or bathroom homely and inviting.

Some people use old tea cups or decorative mugs which they place on their kitchen window sill. It can be great to add a little atmosphere in the kitchen while you are cooking the evening meal or while you are washing the dishes. Atmosphere is everything and this is often created with greenery.

It obviously depends on how you spend time in the garden and what you use your outdoor area for. For example, you will probably want to use decorative pots if you want a formal area. These pots will need to be balanced. You may want to find a central point where you will get hold of a large ornamental pot. The eye is then drawn here as well.

Sizes of containers differ as well. This will depend on whether you are intending to go ahead with a more formal approach. For example, you may decide to plan a English country garden or a French garden. Everything is very dramatic. It is evenly placed.

A vertical garden is ideal for someone who stays in a studio apartment and doesn't have the space. They will want a little bit of greenery around, but it is difficult to come up with a design when you don't have the space. However, when you hang plants down from the ceiling or you create a herb garden on a ledge.

Your home can be changed in terms of the atmosphere it creates for you because of the type of greenery you include here. You may find that there are certain flowers that can do a great job in really add to the mood. Some will be more tranquil and are perfect to help you to relax after coming back from the office.
