How To Make Attractive Wood Prints

By Patricia Peterson

Most of the unique things are made from materials that seem to be worthless and of less value. Written information on different materials has different meaning. The purposes depend on the owner. Wood prints that are connected with your style and brand give something that cannot be found elsewhere. To ensure a high quality of timber prints is attained, the following steps must be observed.

When talking about the natural appearance of paintings you are about to make, it is crucial to ensure the type of material used fits your clients. The design that your artwork will be associated with the tone of wood used is imperative. Also, be keen on the color you choose since it will communicate a lot to your client. For that reason, ensure that you keep in touch with your client to ensure you meet their needs.

As indicated above that the type of design to be selected is determined by the timber material used. The plan also talks more about the occasion that the artwork is going to be used. Utilize all the facilities available to ensure attractive work is attained. Applications such as the power point and photo-shop will be of more help to you if applied appropriately. Be careful about the size to make sure it will fit on the lumber.

The appropriate size of wax sheet should be available. Though, scissors are not the most efficient tool to cut the sheet, it can be used in case a tabletop cutter is not available. The two devices serve the same purpose, but scissors are less efficient. Additionally, it is essential to have a ruler to get rid of doubts on the measurements. When cutting is done, the sheet should be placed in the folder where is left for a day to ensure they do not have folds.

The printing process is also essential, and the artist should be in a position to operate a printer and do all the settings required. The work should be printed backward. Note that, this is mandatory if a text is already written. Set your printer to print the message horizontally. Wax papers should not be misused during printing. Additionally, it might be nice to note that when the printed paper is put on the wood, it will not be facing backward.

After a successful printing process, time to transfer the message to the timber comes in. The printed sheet is big and floppy; an expert carefully places the paper on the lumber ensuring it aligns with the edge of the timber. Further, a plastic card is used to swipe it across the artwork to make it firm and transfer the information on the timber evenly.

Complete your process by sealing the wood with a clear semi-gross paper that comes from the Vermont coatings. It is easy to use since it dries faster and has a great feeling of touch. It is essential to use a light coating to ensure that the writings are not interfered with at any level.

Some tasks need to be given ample time to deal with so as to produce the expected results to meet the needs of your customers. When deciding on the materials that you will use one should consult with the clients to ensure what is required is delivered appropriately. It is important to be free to different people so as to know what most people prefer.
