Tips About Various Clothing Labels

By Stephanie Fisher

A company will always ensure that it produces clothes in bulk for sale. Other than through ensuring that they produce high quality clothes, a company may also be interested in marketing and branding their products. One of the best ways used to market clothes by a specific company is through using Clothing Labels. This is a very efficient and cheap way of marketing the company.

Woven labels are mainly considered in instances when the owner of the garment intends to market their products over a long period. This is because the content in them lasts longer thus will ensure that many potential customers are aware of a product. This allows the company to attract new customers thus increase their number of clients.

The quality of a label is important as it determines how long the tag lasts before the content in it fades or wears out. Choosing a low quality label will result in easy damage of the tag during washing or erasing of the ink. Furthermore, a low quality tag is also more likely to have the front material peeling off thus making it unsuitable for fulfilling the marketing function.

When thinking of the type of label to attach to your garment, you need to check that the characteristics of the tag are similar to that of the material on which the tag is to be attached on. Color and type of material used to create the tag are checked to ensure that they are similar to the garment on which the tag is to be attached.

The tags are in two main types, the woven ones, and the printed ones. In the case of printed tags, the font is printed onto the material using an ink intended to last longer. The ink used is thus permanent. However, it can still be washed out. Common materials used in making this type of tags include acetate, satin, polyester and cotton twill.

The printed type of tags is considered best for companies that require the tags at very low costs. They are also easily manufactured and are usually high quality products. The main issue with these tags is their low durability as the font on the material is easily washed out with time. For companies which want the tags to last longer than the woven types are the better option.

For the woven type of labeling, satin, taffeta, and damask are the main materials used. They last longer than the printed labels. However, their main downside is that they tend to sag with time after every wash. Also, some customers claim that the label feels scratchy and itchy on their skin. Other people may also show an allergic reaction to the material.

For a company which wants to add tags to their garments, they can easily purchase them from online stores specialized in providing the product. To acquire the products in bulk, the company should consider having them produces in bulk. This will also allow the company to customize the appearance of the tags they attach to their garments thus making them more unique.
