Hamburgers made in restaurants often have uniform shapes and thickness. Circular is the preferred shape, but square-shaped burgers are also made and sold by some restaurants. Most restaurants prepare the products by grilling on flat-tops, although others use gas flame for grilling. Most people order medium-well or well-done burgers for food safety reasons.
