Why Choosing Faux Fur Throw For Decoration Is A Better Choice

By George Anderson

No one wants to wake up one day and realize that their favorite coat they have been wearing for the last three years was made out of dog and cat fur. That is not only horrible to imagine, but the thought that an innocent stray animal has been killed and skinned off its fur to be used for fashion purposes. Died because you wanted a coat to wear for those cold wintry nights.

There has been an on going problem where manufacturers have been selling fake fur that is actually made of animals. Animals such as cat, dog, or raccoon are being used as a substitute for fake fur. Therefore you are in search for a faux fur throw take the time to check the market to avoid getting coat that is not made out of innocent animals.

Nature has been very unkind to humanity, so it is only natural humans hunt down the weaker species with their developed weapons. Though some animals are called pest because there are too much of their kind roaming around the earth. However eradicating their species should not be about senseless killing therefore humans have made an effort to use animal fur, meat, and made other uses from these hunted prey.

Pile fabrics or fake coats were made to recreate the warmth and appearance of the pelt of an animal. But evidently it cannot match the same quality and think that a real pelt can offer. However on a positive note fakes can easily be dyed compared to the real ones plus they are also very inexpensive to the regular fashionistas.

Pile fabrics are made of various kinds of material but are usually made from polymers which include blends of polymers, modacrylics, and acrylics. Furthermore chemicals from limestone, petroleum, water, air, and coal composed acrylic polymers. Therefore faux often contain chemicals that are not good for the environment.

More over these chemicals allow the pelt to absorb dye very easily. Aside that the chemical reaction between vinyl chloride monomers and acrylonitrile make modacrylic polymers easier to absorb and blend colors. Furthermore they are able to resist fire and mildew, and cannot be easily infested by insects.

Chemicals are often used to create the faux so that dye jobs are easily made to alter the coloring of the pelt. However these chemicals may not be good to the environment and are composed of air, water, coal, limestone, and petroleum. More over other chemicals like acrylonitrile and vinyl chloride monomers are also included.

The hardened liquid mixture undergoes quality check before being dyed or turned into pelt. The material goes through several filters and pipes so that each piece of pelt is of high quality which can easily be dyed. And finally is heated through a cylinder and cycled side to side until it is ready. Therefore manufacturers must synthesize first the chemicals and fabrics together, so that only quality materials are produced.

All these are processed in a factory. Processed through several steps that keep the quality high before the final touches are performed. Therefore buying quality faux not only means avoiding fake faux fur made of stray creatures but getting it right the first time.
