It is cute when a child shows artistic aptitude often this ability predicts a future in many artistic fields. However a career as an artist may not be suitable for the long term, but it does not eliminate the fact that some artist make it very big in this field. Nevertheless many starving artist exist in this field too.

Therefore a career in arts is unstable but those who have the talent and skill to become great artist should perfect their chosen trade. Because starting a business that focuses on fine art for sale is not an easy task. In any kind of business whether you are a small start up company, an aspiring freelancer, or steadily employed is important to understand how to successfully market and sell oneself on the field.

Being an artist is simply a trade. What you want is to excel in this trade and become successful in it. However not many understand the key step in succeeding, and when failure strikes most shy away from the challenge.

Others never continue the path and regretably resign to another career path. Many career advisors often proclaim that knowing your want and need could help you find the right career path for you. Photographs captures a single moment in the past, and reliving that memory after many years is significant to many people. Because even after the years have passed one by, and the people we once knew do not exist anymore. A photograph relives those memories and opens up a stream of emotions.

The business of photograph is to sell emotions, but another side to photography is stock images. Stock images have the same emotional trigger as studio photographs have, but they are mostly used with the written word. An example is the newspaper.

For example, a skillful and artistic photographer would find it easier to build their dream job and portfolio by getting employed in a studio. Most photographers who do not have the skill and experience should get a job in family owned studios, or in areas where they are interested in. Art in compasses a lot of things, so knowing what your niche is, is very important too.

So in conclusion selling your art or yourself for that matter is a difficult process that needs time, effort, and sheer determination for you to pull through. However this is also one of the most fulfilling careers when clients are satisfied by your service, and not just on your ability to produce high quality art. Therefore the instability of the art industry does not sound too dire when you simply think about it.

Dedication is one key in becoming successful. Because without it the artist would have a hard time focusing on their goals and dreams, and eventually would quit without even trying or getting further from where they started. In other words enjoying your job not only means having aspiration and goals you want fulfilled. But with determination, dedication, and focus will help you along the way.
