How To Promote Your Music By Young Teen Actress

By Jennifer Stone

What is the point of making music and having no one hear it? You are meant to share it with the audience you intended it for. If you make a CD and no one is there to listen to it, it is the same as it not existing. Music promotion is there to get the new young teen actress sound to the ears of the people. Helping the artists achieve the goals they set for their careers.

Music promotion's function is to give that proverbial tree which falls in the forest an audible impact. It is the connection point between the sound waves and the receiving ears. Without a voice to activate the audience's attention and imagination, no one will buy the song to hear it, or even know it exists.

There are many ways a musicians work can be showcased - on air (radio), on stage, on CD (through recordings) and online (to give an example, YouTube). The job of a promotional campaign is to let others know that the music is available to be heard.

Thanks to technology and social media you and your promoter can make your tunes go viral. Social media platforms such as Facebook, have options where you can create a Facebook page dedicated to your creations. Upload videos of the shows you put together. You can also just as easily invite people to come and watch you perform and share your music.

Images are everything if you want to captivate the audience you need to grab them through visuals. More pictures fewer words, thats the secret. However not just any words, attention-grabbing words, words that directly link to the image you are posting. The audience needs to feel like your sound is about them. As if you wrote this particular song for them, telling their story.

You know how certain cartoon characters or superheroes have catchphrases? Every time you hear the catchphrase your mind instantly sees the image associated with it. It is the same with music and promoting it. The catchphrase will bring people to action, meaning they might just click on the link provided.

For maximum impact, you should record a video to upload to YouTube. Then post a link to the video on Facebook. These platforms also show you how people feel about your uploads or posts. If you didn't know, check how many shares or likes you have. Even views can tell you how many listeners you are reaching.

Before considering online promotional work, it is imperative that the music in question is registered through a certified music authority. There are many ways to ensure copyright, such as recording music on a CD and having this sealed, together with notes made during the composition process, in an envelope and stamped by a Commissioner of Oaths. With the right determination and steps, a musician can ensure their unique composition is heard.
