Know More On Pipe Organ Repair

By Kevin Scott

After a tiring night trying to find people to have their blood sucked out, Count Dracula finally goes home. He ended early with his work and still has enough time before the sun rises. He has been so lonely sometimes especially when his minions are also still out working. Before he goes inside his coffin to have his sleep, he plays a musical instrument. But when he sat down on its chair, there was a problem. It looked like he needed a pipe organ repair North Carolina.

This instrument is an old instrument found usually at ancient churches. The basilica of Valere in Sion, Switzerland has the oldest functioning and still playable organ in the world. Now unlike the pianos and modernized keyboards, they have more than one set of keys in different layers. You would have to be an expert to play this kind or even an alien with many arms.

The handyman the count contacted finally shows up. Luckily he contacted a service company that are able to work at night or even at dawn. Not only that, this person had a positive attitude and is not afraid of the vampire at all. Anyway, included in the service is a check up. Of course before anything else is always a check up.

He starts off by cleaning the instrument from bottom to top. He drops to the floor and cleans the pedals, then the keyboard then all of the insides. He had to use a lot of rags to clean because of all the dust that were accumulated for how many years. Not just dust though, cob webs even but he did not kill the spiders, he just transferred them somewhere else.

But the handyman did not end there. He also stated that the alloy or tin tubes of this instrument need to be replaced. He found out that due to its delicate material, he was able to find dents and bumps that changes the sound. Other than that, an oxide layer hardened some of those tubes as well also creating rusts.

As part of his check up, he then asks how often this was played. Count Dracula smirked and told him that he would play it every day especially when he has had a scrumptious meal. Then an assumption could be that the keyboard, if not the pipes, is no longer connected to the tubes due to the constant playing and also need to be replaced.

When cleaning, he went from down to up, but when replacing, he went the opposite direction. This time he was replacing the pedals. The count never knew what those pedals were for and asked the service individual to start a conversation. While replacing, he explains to the count each of the specific functions the pedals have.

Lastly, the handyman then pulled up his pants higher, stretched and began to move that instrument. The vampire stopped him and asked why. With a professional explanation, relocating the instrument could improve the quality. This was the fifth usual to the restoration process.

All that the service person have said were just some of repairs that can be done. He was able to bring extra tubes, keyboard buttons and pedals in his service truck parked outside. After how many hours, Count was able to play again his beautiful masterpiece and thanked the person by not sucking his blood.
