Using Drone Photography Plantation FL For Security

By Darryl Kendricks

Drone technology has gained in popularity among hobby enthusiasts and in the commercial realm. These aircraft are also becoming incredibly popular in security applications. The same benefits that drones can provide in photography, military, agriculture and other fields can also be highly effective for loss prevention and security. This can be advantageous in a variety of industries, including retail, wildlife and innovation. In fact, there are several ways that using drone photography as a security measure can be extremely effective.

Patrolling Property

Security guards are great, but a drone can cover much more area in far less time, and for far less money as well. They can also quickly let you see areas that may not even be accessible to humans, such locked or fenced-in areas, or even rooftops, recording the whole way.

Scouting Suspicious Movements

By using drones equipped with cameras, store security staff can monitor suspected shoplifters as they leave the store. The camera also record such details of the suspect as clothing, appearance, stature, direction of head toward and the vehicle's type, color and license plate number. Keep in mind that this won't deter shoplifters right away. Instead, shoplifters will begin to think twice once it becomes widely known that places of business are implementing the security measure.

Collecting Evidence of Crimes

Patrolling drones keep records of the area and activities that take place on a property. These records are useful in identifying a variety of issues needing to be addressed, issues such as graffiti, fences that appear to have been cut, trespassing or squatting.

There are many advantages to using these machines. They cannot get injured like a security guard can, and there is no risk of a confrontation taking place. The accuracy of the videos is almost unimpeachable in court, and they are quite easy to use once you get the hang of them. With their increasing affordability and high-end features, they will soon be a security staple.
