We all have someone who we consider as a role model. They could be family members, friends, teachers and even stars. They are those people who have somehow inspired us in one way or another to pursue our own dreams and strive harder.

Those entities who are working on the music industry for instance are among the most impactful ones around the world. And as means to give some sort of gratitude to them, events like the Elvis tribute San Francisco are conducted. This particular event is specifically held to remember Mr. Presleys huge and global contribution in music.

You are free to be part of the contest. If youre confident enough to compete, then joining the impersonation contest can be a fun experience for you. For a start, you can do the following.

Get as much information as you can about Elvis. This should you be you primary concern when attempting to impersonate Elvis. Remember that you are acting out as him, and its only natural that you know some of the general facts about his life. There is a good chance that a question and answer portion will arise. Better be informed.

Familiarize yourself with his mannerisms and popular lines. Of course, the best way to perfect that Elvis appearance is to know exactly how he moves, including the phrases and lines that he always deliver. Hes a star and is naturally popular with the things that he does. A good way to get yourself acquainted on this stuff is to watch videos of him.

Have a closer look at his fashion. And then we go to his looks. From the trademark hair that he sports up to his wardrobe, you will need to ensure that you get those things covered. You are playing Elvis. Make yourself look like one.

Train your voicing. Any impersonation contest will not be complete in the absence of the voice. He is a singer after all. Ideally, you should have a good voice as well. But of course, everyone is welcome. Just make sure that you train yourself in advance in terms of singing his songs. Try to attain the closes voicing impersonation as you can while practicing.

Rehearse with audience and get feedback. Your audience can be anyone who wishes to listen and watch to how you perform. A good way to start is to invite some of your family members and friends in. Ask them to comment objectively and correct you in case they notice something different. If you can get someone on board who is an Elvis fan, the better.

This kind of contests does not happen always, and this could be the only time that you can do it. Be prepared. Know the rules and requirements for the competition and start gearing up. Make the process of prepping up by asking some close friends to help you out. Who knows, they might have a better idea on how to make your performance even better.
