Adding Style To Decor With A Copper Wall Sculpture

By Phyllis Schroeder

Personal taste is the number one thing that has to do with the way people decorate their home. Improving the appearance of the space comes through detailing and accessories. Art is one other way, and it doesn't have to cost a fortune. Although there are lots of opportunities to choose artwork, one beautiful option comes with a copper wall sculpture that really adds style and wife to a space. Furthermore, any design scheme can benefit from it.

There are thousands of options of sculptures like this, created with this beautiful metal being at the center of it all. On a wide produced scale, the sky is the limit. They're available in stores and online. On the other hand, there are one-of-a-kind pieces created by artists.

The difference between those created by artists and numbered is that they are more valuable. Since someone is mandated to create a beautiful piece like this, it would be more costly than choosing a mass-produced product like this. The latter is extremely affordable, where the former may cost into the thousands of dollars.

This is true whether the design scheme on the whole is rustic or contemporary. It's important for consumers to understand just how important it is to decorate the walls, in order to complete the room. Those that are not addressed make the room look empty and often, unfinished. Those that are complete automatically bring the space warmth.

Addressing the surface with metal art work will add more interest, and even create a focal point which is extremely important in design. It can be the difference between making a room inviting, or one that doesn't attract people. The same is true even in outdoor rooms.

However, it is very important to pick from pieces that are well-made and substantial. An inexpensive piece may look too thin and could deplete the room of its style rather than add to it. Keep in mind that artwork always draws the eyes of those who are in the room, so for the best results pick a better piece with substance. A larger piece will also provide the room with visual impact, as for a focal point.

Be sure to choose copper sculptures that are to be mounted on walls in rooms that can welcome them. For instance, very modern spaces like kitchens that are completed using lots of stainless steel may not be the ideal location, as the two metals may be fighting for attention. Alternatively, if there is no metal at all in a room, it will work beautifully, as it would where other pieces of copper exist.

The living room, family room or a bedroom is another part of the home that can benefit from such artwork. By the same token, so can the bathroom, and often without any design issues interfering. Another smart way to use this type of sculpture is in a hallway. Consider a long and narrow hallway that doesn't allow much else in terms of design features. This will add all the visual interest necessary to complete the area and satisfy onlookers.
