Choosing The Greatest Bay Area Architectural Photographer

By Elaine Guthrie

Some people believe that as long as someone has a good camera the pictures they take will be good also. This is one of the many misconceptions that could lead to you losing a lot of money. The truth is that the gifts of photographers usually vary widely. A great photographer has a way with the lighting and has to have knowledge of design. Photographers also have specialties. Some that take good wedding photographs cannot take the best architectural photographs and you need to look for a qualified bay area architectural photographer for that work.

Most photographers usually ask for a royalty. This usually is a small fee that they charge whenever a photo they took is used. This is a way for them to make a little more money from their work. On the other hand this normally is not good for your business because they usually increase your costs which in turn usually reduce your profits which is opposite of what you want.

Other specialties usually come in handy. Some of this includes their skill on enhancing and retouching the photos they take. Most of the great photos taken digitally are normally retouched or enhanced in some way. This therefore is a very important skill that he must have since some of the photos that you will need shall need to be enhanced for them to look better.

Another factor that will set him apart from the others is the experience that he has. Experience is important since during the many years of working one gets to learn a lot. Some of the things that they learn on the field that a newbie would not know are how to deal with pressure and how to work under difficult situations.

One of the worst experiences would seeing your competitor using photos that you had taken. This only happens if you choose a photographer that sells stock photos. They usually just make your photos look more generic and then they sell them. They usually get some extra income for these photos. To avoid being in a situation like that you need to make sure that the one you choose does not sell stock photos.

Their client list can tell a lot. It will tell if he is any good or if he is not. If he usually works for large companies shows that he is more established and that he takes good quality photos. For the new ones in the business they do not have large companies in their client list they have small companies. This shows that either they are not that established or that their work is not that good.

A photographer might have a busy schedule but that should not be an excuse for them not to respond to your emails and calls. It is understandable if he does not pick you call but he should respond as soon as he can.

Their reputation is also very important and should not be over looked. If people say that they are difficult to work with or that they have a problem with meeting deadlines, it would be wise not to choose them.
