This Is Why The Cross DVD A Must Have?

By Cornelia Reyes

There are movies being released every week for the entertainment of the masses, so what exactly sets a good movie apart from all other movies. Representation of the theme and how realistic the movie is can make a big difference. At times flight of fancy may be a good thing but realistic movies are sure to be a great watch. Finding The Cross DVD may be a little difficult but the movie is a must watch for people from all religious backgrounds. The movie is in fact a documentary on one mans spiritual awakening and his spiritual journey over many years and many miles. This is why this movie can be a great addition to your collection.

The cast and crew of a movie may matter a lot to the audience. Many believe that if they are goind to spend money watching a movie or buying a copy of the movie then they might as well watch a star studded film. But there is no guarantee that having a star cast can offer a good gripping story. There have been over hyped commercial movies, with a star cast and crew, which have amounted to nothing. This movie may not have a star cast or crew but it defies peoples belief that starts can make or break a movie.

Generally directorial debuts are more commercial than documentaries. But Matthew Crouch choose to cover this story in the form of a documentary for his brave debut. Crouch was more interested in bringing the tale out to the people instead of making a grand debut.

As far as documentaries are concern, this one has a decent runtime. Most documentaries can be short enough to be produced as short films or long enough to be shown in installments. The 90 minute run time of the movie ensures that the audience is not bored by the movie in any way. All to often movies run into a long boring dribble that people do not want to see.

If you are tired of watching hyped commercial films with unrealistic storylines then this is the movie for you. The movie is definitely a true story. The way in which Crouch captures the story also makes it more realistic and gripping.

Take a look at the protagonist of the movie. The protagonist is an ordinary man who found a mission in life. Arthur Blessitt found a reason for his existence in carrying a twelve foot wooden crucifix around the world.

There is little or no religious connotations involved in the movie. Although the crucifix carried by Arthur Blessitt is a Christian sign, the storyline is spiritual. There is no hidden religious message involved that infuriates or propagates any religion.

Apart from creating a great documentary, the journey of this guy created a record. In the Book of amazing fetes he is placed for having carried the 12 feet crucifix for over 40 years and 38,102 miles. This spiritual journey makes The Cross DVD a great addition to any movie collection.
